commission-based service

For those of you whose films need a more comprehensive worldwide digital strategy than our flat-fee service (iTunes/Netflix/Hulu/Amazon/YouTube Rentals) affords, TFC offers a separate commission-based service. This custom package can still include some of the same big brand platforms in the flat-fee service (Netflix, iTunes, Hulu, Amazon, YouTube Rentals), and also perhaps Cable VOD, VUDU, and Redbox, but TFC will also work directly or via our partners with additional platforms in North America (such as SnagFilms, Mubi, BigStar and others), many other platforms in Europe, and a bit of Asia and Latin America. For this service, TFC takes a commission of 15% on all platforms. Contact us for more details.

The Film Collaborative (TFC) is direct with some platforms but not all of them because it’s not distributing commercial cinema, hence it works with partners too to get onto certain platforms. In any case, TFC never takes an extra commission when its partners are servicing digital distribution for certain platforms. And when TFC facilitates an overall deal with an aggregator partner such as New Video, Gravitas, or Snag and one is not a member and the film is not part of an initiative deal, the fee is $500 for the contract servicing and TFC pre-negotiated terms.
